Take the Grand Isle Ferry:
Follow the road off the ferry onto the Cumberland Head Extension. At the
intersection with Route 9 (traffic light) turn left onto Route 9 heading
south into Plattsburgh appx. 1.5 miles. At the 3rd traffic light, bear
left onto Miller Street continue to follow Rte 9 south appx. .6 miles.
Turn left onto Bridge Street and travel appx. 0.1 miles. Turn right onto
Peru Street appx. 0.5 miles. Turn slightly left onto Byrne Lane and you
are entering the Base Oval complex. Find parking on the other end of the
Oval next to the soccer fields. It will take appx. 15 - 18 minutes upon
exiting the Ferry.
If teams are traveling North from the Rutland area:
Cross into New York from the Crown Point Bridge. Take Rte 9 north to
I-87 at Westport.
I-87 North to exit 36. Turn right off of the exit ramp onto Rte 22.
Travel Rte 22 to the stop light. Turn right at the stop light. Turn left
onto New York Avenue. Travel to the intersection of Rte 9 go 1/2 way
around the circle into the Plattsburgh Air Base Oval complex. |

From the North, Take Interstate Rt 89 South to
the Intersection of Interstate 91, and go north.
From the South, take Interstate 91 north.
Get off Interstate 91 North at Exit 13 (Hanover/Norwich), and
turn right at the end of the ramp, crossing the river into
NH.
Head up the hill to the first traffic light in
Hanover, and stay in the right lane. Turn right into downtown
Hanover, and follow Main Street south. Go through the traffic
light, pass the Shell station on the right (good place for
pre- and post-game drinks and snacks) and follow Main Street
down the hill and out of town. Sachem Fields are one mile out
of town on the left. Turn left onto Gould Street and keep
going past the fields until you reach the small parking lot on
the right. Do not park on Gould Street, unless you want a
guaranteed encounter with the Lebanon police. There is
water available, and there are portable toilets. |
